Eddie Brock is a tough reporter at the Daily Bugle and the rival of Peter Parker. He wants to become popular and makes a deal with Rhino. After this is uncovered, Eddie is fired from the Bugle for which he blames spider man (for complicated reasons). The venom symbiote finds its way towards Brock and they become a being called Venom. They begin destruction and violence but Eddie falls in love with Ashley Kafka and abandons Venom.
