Quiet is played by Sophie Thatcher. Quiet is a mute sniper and one of the most mysterious characters in the game. Initially an enemy, she later becomes a powerful ally to Snake and joins Diamond Dogs. Quiet is infected with a vocal cord parasite that will kill anyone around her if she speaks English, so she chooses to stay silent. However, she speaks English in some scenes, nothing bad happens as she spoke a little bit. She breathes through her skin due to a parasite-enhanced body, which also grants her superhuman speed, stealth, and healing abilities. Although her appearance caused controversy, Quiet proves to be a deeply loyal and tragic character. In the movie adaptation, she’s around her 20s, the same age as Snake in the game.
