In her subsequent journey, archaeologist and adventurer Lara Croft embarks on a mission one year after acquiring the fragments of the Scion. This time, her objective is the fabled Dagger of Xian, believed to hold dragon-like powers. Two factions have their eyes set on this dagger: Lara, aiming to add it to her collection, and mob leader Marco Bartoli, who wants to harness its immense strength for himself. As they compete to obtain the dagger, Lara must traverse through numerous perilous sites, including Venice, the submerged vessel of Maria Doria, and Tibet, engaging in a high-stakes race to secure the dagger before Bartoli can seize it.
