Despite being a Chief Executive of a Wing, Stephanette appears to have been a kind person and preferred to approach situations with empathy. Her relationship with The Tearful Thing was nurturing, and she took on a mothering role to the Singularity, reading it stories to make it cry even when that method was not the most efficient option. She would take the time to talk with it and treated it as a fellow living being, as opposed to how others would treat it as a tool after her death. In her old age she selflessly turned down the idea of using the tears to let her live longer, instead wanting them to heal others who needed them more than her.
