It's been some years since Levon Cade became the best agent in the shadowy world of counterterrorism. He's now retired as a construction worker, working as much as he can and trying to be a loving father to his daughter. But, when a local college student goes missing, Levon is hired to find her. His hunt for the missing college girl takes him on a dangerous path of vigilante justice and into the heart of a vicious criminal conspiracy. His search for the girl will create a chain reaction that will threaten not just the criminal underworld, but to everyone else he loves dearly. The movie is the first chapter of the Levon Cade series. Chris Evans has agreed to sign on for 7-8 of these movies, which are based on Chuck Dixon's series of novels. The series consists of 12 novels, which are mostly short, consisting of 100-200 pages per novel. David Ayer, director of such works as "Suicide Squad" and "Fury," has agreed to direct some of the movies with Chris Evans in mind. Jason Statham was at one point interested in the role, but had to back out due to scheduling conflicts. Ayer has brought on board Derek Kolstad, writer and creator of the "John Wick" franchise. He has also agreed to pen the screenplay for this movie and upcoming sequels. He hopes that one day this will become an action franchise "as successful as John Wick."
