Karen Sheila Gillan (/ˈɡɪlən/; born 28 November 1987) is a Scottish actress and filmmaker. She gained recognition for her work in British film and television, particularly for playing Amy Pond, a primary companion to the Eleventh Doctor in the science fiction series Doctor Who (2010–2013). Her early film roles include the thriller Outcast (2010) and the romantic comedy Not Another Happy Ending (2013). She also worked on the stage in Britain, appearing in John Osborne's play Inadmissible Evidence (2011). Gillan transitioned to Hollywood, starring in the horror film Oculus (2013) and playing the lead in the ABC sitcom Selfie (2014). She achieved stardom for portraying Nebula in several films of the Marvel Cinematic Universe(2014–2023), which are among the highest-grossing films of all time, and Ruby Roundhouse in the fantasy films Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle (2017) and Jumanji: The Next Level (2019). She also wrote and directed the drama film The Party's Just Beginning (2018), which she starred in. She has starred in the comedy film Gunpowder Milkshake (2021), the thriller film Dual (2022), the coming-of-age film Late Bloomers (2023), and returned to British television with the series Douglas Is Cancelled (2024). The story takes place in January 2019 it’s about a 17 year old boy named Sean Leveiah who goes to high school and loves skateboarding and hangs out with a group of friends sean then meets a guy named Larry Stevenburg who is in his 40s they start to form a bond as the show goes on then in season 4 seans mom starts dating a new guy named Dan Johnson who is actually a kind and Dan also has a daughter which he had with his old wife who died her name is Stella Johnson who is a 7 year old girl who likes to play with Barbie’s and is so nice and innocent sean doesn’t like the fact that Dan and Stella move in to his house with him and his mom and doesn’t like them and Stella starts to try to be close and wants to get to know Sean who is her new step brother but Sean keeps brushing her off yelling at her at times even hitting her in moments where he is not in the mood while still drinking and smoking which always leads to Stella being sad but still not giving up on Sean she loves him like a older brother even tho she knows Sean doesn’t love her back eventually sean always goes on his dangerous adventures with Larry getting into trouble
