A lesbian is a woman or non-binary person who is primarily attracted to other women. The term can also be used as an adjective to describe things related to this attraction. It is also an umbrella term that encompasses women and non-binary people who are romantically and/or sexually attracted to other women. The term originates from the Greek island of Lesbos, the home of the poet Sappho.
