Andrei Shen is well know for starring in Matilda the Movie and The Land of Sometimes, which is due to be released later this year, starring alongside Helena Bonham-Carter and David Walliams.
Beginning in 1815 and culminating in the 1832 June Rebellion in Paris, the TV series follows the lives and interactions of several characters, particularly the struggles of ex-convict Jean Valjean and his experience of redemption.
