Ashraf Barhom is a Palestinian-Israeli actor, writer, and director from Galilee, celebrated for international roles in films like Paradise Now, The Kingdom, and Agora.
She was a Mongol noblewoman and wrestler, the most famous daughter of Kaidu, a cousin of Kublai Khan. Her father was "most pleased by her abilities", and she accompanied him on military campaigns. Both Marco Polo and Rashid al-Din Hamadani wrote accounts of their encounters with her.
