Shawn Dunphy is a 39-year old man who hates the world. He works a crappy job for very little pay, he’s forced to look after his terminally ill, complaining mother, and his girlfriend recently dumped him after he found out she cheated on him. One day, he wakes up to find a golf ball-sized bump on the side of his head, just above his ear. His friend Leon believes it to be some kind of cancer, and that he’s got one on his head as well. And that’s when Shawn starts hearing the voices in his head. Voices that tell him to execute assignments with dangerous consequences to them. Shawn is suddenly allied with a group of eccentric personalities to commit cynical tasks. As the sadism around him skyrockets, Shawn pieces together the clues that lead to a top-secret experiment to breed a dangerous species of mutants.
