Alexander "Alex" Proyas (born 23 September 1963) is an Australian filmmaker. He is best known for directing the films The Crow (1994), Dark City (1998), I, Robot (2004), Knowing (2009), and Gods of Egypt (2016).
After going through an arduous training in Greece, a young orphan awakens the Cosmos (a spiritual essence that originated from the Big Bang), becoming one of Athena's warriors and acquiring an armor that grants him powers. He returns to Japan to investigate his sister's disappearance, where he joins other Athena warriors.
