"It all began in '94."
A modified version of the KOF 1994 tournament and the events leading up to it. Kyo Kusanagi is an up-and-coming underground fighter on top of his blooming reputation as a musician and theater actor. He sets out to Southtown to make a name for himself but not without help from friends in high places, including his childhood sweetheart Yuri Sakazaki and rich-boy school friend Benimaru Nikaido.
With the passage of time, Kyo forms an elite vigilante kickboxing gang known as "The Children of Southtown" in the fight against underground criminal kingpin Rugal Bernstein.
