Gloucester is a well-intentioned nobleman whose fatal flaw is his gullibility and susceptibility to manipulation. Once a trusted advisor to King Lear, he becomes a tragic figure caught between his two sons—the cunning bastard Edmund and the loyal Edgar. His journey is one of devastating loss: stripped of his title, blinded by his own son, and cast out into the storm alongside the mad king.
