Donny Alamsyah Benjamin (born December 7, 1978) is an Indonesian actor and martial artist. His acting career began in 2004 when he accompanied a friend to an audition for the film Gie (2005). Eventually, he was asked to join the production and was cast as the character Jaka. Donny gained further recognition with his role as “Barry” in the film Fiksi (2008), which earned him a nomination for Best Actor at the Indonesian Film Festival. Donny began learning martial arts at a young age. His father, Benjamin Junaedi, a Cimande pencak silat coach, encouraged four-year-old Donny to study martial arts. While still in elementary school, he studied karate. In junior high school, he turned to kung fu. During his high school years, he learned Muay Thai, followed by Wing Chun, wrestling, boxing, and aikido.

Trained and perfected since he was a child, Jago was never concerned with material achievements or power, only to develop spiritually and reach perfection in that regard. Abandoned at a young age in a Himalayan monastery where he was trained by the Tiger Monks, he searches for purpose in his enhancements, until finally it seems to arrive: guided by the spirit of the tiger, Jago makes his way towards the Killer Instinct tournament with the objective of destroying the evil that lurks there, according to his spiritual guide. On this journey, he meets other fighters, with different goals, and he will realize that he will need their help if he wants to stop the plans of the megacorporation known as Ultratech.
