After twenty years of peace, the cycle of violence is broken when Nikki Bell breaks into Beatrix Kiddo's home and murders her in front of her daughter, taking Hattori Hanzo's katana as a trophy. A young and rugged B.B. is forced to embrace the blood legacy her mother tried to hide from her, embarking on a grueling training journey that takes her from the trailer of a bitter Elle Driver to the temples of a legendary kung fu master. In Okinawa, B.B. allies herself with Musashi Hanzo, the son of the late swordsmith, who seeks revenge for his father's murder at the hands of a calculating crime boss's syndicate. The hunt culminates in a neon-lit carnage in Hong Kong, where Musashi annihilates an army of assassins while B.B. faces off in a duel to the death against Nikki and Sofie Fatale. The saga ends with an epic funeral where figures from Beatrix's past gather to bid farewell to the woman who, even in death, managed to complete her final lesson in revenge.
