The Kick-Ass duology (2010–2013) follows everyday teenager Dave Lizewski. Inspired by comic books, he reinvents himself as "Kick-Ass," a real-life superhero with no powers. The films follow his evolution from an inexperienced amateur into a key figure in a masked vigilante movement battling violent crime syndicates.
