Fan Casting The Eradicator in Kevin Smith's Superman Lives

A shape-shifting Kryptonian artificial intelligence created by Jor-El to protect his infant son. For decades, the Eradicator lay dormant within the rocket that brought Kal-El to Earth, programmed to activate only if Superman's vital signs failed. When Superman "dies" fighting Doomsday, the Eradicator awakens, resuscitates him, and becomes a black recovery suit that replicates Superman's lost powers. Initially cold and logical, the Eradicator learns humanity from Superman—choosing to serve rather than merely following programming.
