He is a Shade and a member of the Black Swan as well as a former temporarily forced member of the Neverseen. When he was eleven, he left the Lost Cities because his twin sister Linh, who he was very close with, was banished for flooding Atlantis and so she wouldn't be alone. As a result, he was also banished and began to attend Exillium and lived in the Neutral Territories for more than three years, until Book 4: Neverseen where he and Linh met Sophie Foster and her friends.
