12 year old Sophie Foster has a secret. She’s a telepath. She can read minds. She soon is swept away from her family, told by another telepath she’s an elf and if she stays with her family, she’ll put them in grave danger. She has to adjust to a drastically different world from the one she’s used to. She soon feels at home. But not everyone is happy about Sophie’s homecoming.
