Formerly one of Team Flare's top scientists, Mable was set to be incarcerated for life, but a certain detective pleaded on behalf of her and Team Flare's other members for a plea deal that would allow them to do more tangible good by atoning for their misdeeds instead of rotting in a cell for the rest of their lives. So, Mable's spent the past five years in Lumiose City, helping with Pokemon research and other scientific odds and ends to help the city flourish once more. Though she's still somewhat crotchety, especially since part of her terms were that she had to stay stuck within Lumiose for the foreseeable future, she's nonetheless plenty willing to help the heroes deal with rogue Mega Evolutions and stop Team Drizzle.
