After a mission in the 1980s, during the Cold War, against Vandal Savage, several members of the Justice Society of America were sacrificed fighting Savage, causing the team to disband. Currently, with Savage's return, Doctor Fate, with the help of Wonder Woman, is assembling a new JSA team before it's too late.
