Coming off the events of War, Bruce is still deeply wary of metahumans — even allies. He views the League as a temporary necessity, not a permanent alliance. With Atlantis rising, Bruce is concerned about escalation: another unknown superpower, another war. He takes a surveillance-heavy approach, deploying drones, spies, and remote tech to learn about Atlantis before acting. However, his reliance on control is challenged when Arthur refuses to be analyzed or manipulated. Batman’s arc here is about calculated humility — learning that trust and delegation may prevent more chaos than brute foresight. His scenes with Mera and Arthur are tense but revealing — he sees something of himself in both, especially Arthur's reluctance to lead.
