Timothée Hal Chalamet (born December 27, 1995) is an American and French actor. Known for his work in a diverse range of blockbusters and independent films, he is the recipient of numerous accolades, including an Actor Award, a Golden Globe Award, and two Critics' Choice Awards, in addition to nominations for four Academy Awards, six British Academy Film Awards, and a Grammy Award. His films as a leading actor have grossed over $2.3 billion worldwide. Chalamet began his career in television, appearing in the drama series Homeland. In 2014, while a student at Columbia University, he made his film debut in the comedy-drama Men, Women & Children and appeared in Christopher Nolan's science fiction film Interstellar. Chalamet came to international attention with the lead role of a lovestruck teenager in Luca Guadagnino's coming-of-age film Call Me by Your Name (2017), earning him his first Academy Award nomination for Best Actor and becoming the third-youngest nominee in the category. He gained further recognition for his supporting roles in Greta Gerwig's films Lady Bird (2017) and Little Women (2019), as well as for his portrayal of Nic Sheff in the biopic Beautiful Boy (2018). In the aftermath of the Justice League's defeat at the hands of Darkseid, the remaining heroes of the DC universe are desperate for a plan to stop the tyrannical ruler of Apokolips. John Stewart, the Green Lantern and former Marine Corps sniper, takes on a leadership role, given his experience and level-headedness. Batman, still struggling with the war ahead of them, agrees to work with him. The duo seek out other heroes to join their cause: Wonder Woman, The Flash, Aquaman, and others. Together, they come up with a daring plan to take down Darkseid once and for all. Their plan involves infiltrating Apokolips itself, with Batman and John leading the charge. Along the way, Batman and John's friendship is tested, as both men struggle with who should make the ultimate sacrifice to bring Darkseid down. As they make their way through the treacherous landscape of Apokolips, they face dangerous challenges and battles with countless minions of Darkseid. But ultimately, Batman and John are able to use their unique skills and teamwork to defeat Darkseid, with one of them making the ultimate sacrifice to save the rest of the team. In the end, the heroes of the DC universe emerge victorious, having saved the multiverse from destruction and finding a newfound respect for each other, as they continue to fight side-by-side against any future threats that come their way.
