Yahya Abdul-Mateen II (/ˈjɑːhiə/; born July 15, 1986) is an American actor. He is best known for his roles as Black Manta in the superhero films Aquaman (2018) and Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom (2023), Bobby Seale in the Netflix historical legal drama The Trial of the Chicago 7 (2020), and Morpheus / Agent Smith in The Matrix Resurrections (2021). For his portrayal of Cal Abar / Doctor Manhattan in the HBO limited series Watchmen (2019), he won a Primetime Emmy Award. He also starred in episodes of The Handmaid's Tale (2018) and Black Mirror (2019). He made his Broadway debut in the Suzan-Lori Parks play Topdog/Underdog, for which he received a Tony Award for Best Leading Actor in a Play nomination. He portrays the Marvel Comics character Simon Williams / Wonder Man in media set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Justice League: The Apokolips Crisis Part 1

Nine months have passed since Superman's death and the Justice League is visited by the New Gods of New Genesis, who warn them that Darkseid is rallying his forces for a second try at invading Earth, and he will be trying much harder since he has discovered that the easiest way to obtain the Anti-Life Equation is hidden somewhere on Earth. But first, he must get the knowledge hidden on New Genesis. The League tasks The Titans, Teen Titans, and Justice League Dark with protecting Earth while they go to fight Darkseid's forces on New Genesis. This is an original story by me. Phase 4/4 movie 7/9 of my scripts for the DC Cinematic Universe.
