Michael Giacchino (/dʒəˈkiːnoʊ/ jə-KEE-noh; Italian: [dʒakˈkiːno]; born October 10, 1967) is an American film, television, and video game score composer. He has received many accolades for his work, including an Academy Award for Up (2009), an Emmy for Lost (2004), and three Grammy Awards. Giacchino is known for his collaborations with directors J. J. Abrams, Brad Bird, Matt Reeves, Pete Docter, Colin Trevorrow, Jon Watts, Gareth Edwards, Drew Goddard, J. A. Bayona, The Wachowskis, Taika Waititi, and Thomas Bezucha. His film scores include several films from the Mission: Impossible, Jurassic World, Marvel Cinematic Universe, Star Trek reboot series, eight Pixar Animation Studios films, multiple Disney films, Rogue One, The Batman, and several other films. He also composed the score for the video game series Medal of Honour and Call of Duty and the television series Alias, Lost, and Fringe. In 2018, he ventured into directing and, in 2022, directed the Marvel Studios Disney+ special Werewolf by Night. The episode opens in Central City as a team of supervillains called the Rouges break into a jewelry store. Just then a flash of lightning goes by and Cold the leader of the Rouges grabs his freeze gun. Suddenly Heatwave, Cold's second in command disappears and the team looks outside to see the Flash holding Heatwave by the shoulder. The team starts shooting but the Flash dodges everything. Eventually the entire team is taken down and Flash goes home to get ready for his actual job. Once Barry Allen gets to his job he goes to talk to Officer Eddie Thawne and Officer Jay Garrick about their next case. Just then Iris West Barry's girlfriend shows up and Barry heads out for his date. The camera zooms out and we cut to Gotham where the Batman is patrolling the streets as he talks to Oracle the former Batgirl and daughter of commissioner Gordon on an earpiece. He tells her he'll be late and turns the earpiece off as he goes into a mysterious looking storage unit.
