After being alerted to a Superman imposter from another universe by the man of steel himself, Batman begins to recruit a team of old allies and new heroes to defend earth. However, the team finds themselves at odds as they soon come to realise the enemies they face are nothing more than twisted mirrors of themselves. But as the team bickers over how to deal with dimensional intruders, the Crime Syndicate come ever closer to getting their hands on what they’re after… As the Crime Syndicate launch a final attack on earth to recover the mother box, the Justice League prepare to counter it, arriving on an ancient island where the box is said to have been buried. However, the two team’s are shocked to discover the mother box is nowhere to be found… until Cyborg realises it was used by his father as a power source to keep him alive. Eventually, with the Justice League victorious, they begin to question… who were the Crime Syndicate working for? Far away, on the planet of Apokolips, servant of Darkseid, Desaad, approaches his master, with news of the Syndicate’s failure… In the distant cosmos, a powerful alien drifts through space, on it’s way to earth… the Martian Manhunter has an urgent message for the Man of Steel
