After Superman's death at the hands of Doomsday , Batman decides to depart the Justice League . Wanting to continue to fight crime on a global scale, Batman forms a new team known as the Justice League International which gathers heroes from across the globe. When Maxwell Lord & Bruce's ex lover Talia Al Ghul team up and begin a terroist takeover , Batman's new team are brought into action.
