Adzebill
The adzebills (genus Aptornis) were two closely related bird species, the North Island adzebill, (Aptornis otidiformis), and the South Island adzebill, (Aptornis defossor), of the extinct family Aptornithidae. The family was endemic to New Zealand. A tentative fossil species, (Aptornis proasciarostratus), is known from the Miocene St. Bathans fauna.
Juri Han woke up in the forest of New Zealand, she couldn’t believe she was lost, she gets a map and compass to find her way home while passing by the bird species (including the Giant Moa, the Haast’s eagle, laughing owl, huia, piopio, kiwi bird, and the New Zealand falcon).
