22 years after the incident of Jurassic Park on Isla Nublar the new dinosaur park called Jurassic World is in its tenth year of running. InGen is now owned by Simon Masrani and since the reopening many new species have been added to the park. So have been many new attractions, such as gyrospheres, safari-tours, aquariums, aviaries and many more. Leah Malcolm, daughter-in-law of Ian Malcolm (now a sceptic Masrani consultant), has risen to the role of CEO of Jurassic World. JW‘s biologic research team, is still lead by InGen‘s veteran Dr. Henry Wu. Together with Dr. Elena Morales and Barry Sembène she is researching new ways to improve the dinosaur‘s DNA and also care for the animals well-being. They always have to find the right balance between making them as realistic as possible and securing a good show to the audience. As the financial stakeholders and the visitors seem to lose their interest in expensive bio-technology and zoos in general JW‘s team has to react. In a desperate attempt to save the project long term they underestimate the power of biotechnology and neglect the necessary research before breeding exciting manipulated dinosaurs. Dr. Wu's secret project, Scorpios rex - one of a few hybrid experiments - turns out to be too much of a challenge to be contained and eventually the scientists lose control over their own creations.
