Three years after Jurassic Worlds end the dinosaurs are free roaming across Isla Nublar. But their lives are in danger as the islands volcano Mount Sibo threatens to break out and wipe out all life on Isla Nublar. An ethical discussion has split the community into idealistic advocates of dinosaurs and those who are not impressed by the animals fate at all. Elena Morales‘ empathy for the creatures she cared for so long makes her stand for the dinosaurs rights. The fact that Leah and William have spent many years along the dinosaurs makes them feel that the only right thing to do is to save them from Isla Nublar too. But overwhelmed of their feelings towards the dinosaurs Elena and Henry team up with Leah and William to convince InGen to send a team to the island. In the meantime the lead of Masrani/InGen has ordered Diego Cruz to guide a second team to collect several dinosaurs from Isla Nublar to get them to the mainland where they can be kept for further operations. They want to hide the dinosaurs in different locations (Lockwoods Mansion, InGen‘s mainland HQs, San Diego and at their European base). As InGen has invested too much money on research and cloning they can‘t leave all that behind. However this second team confused Isla Nublar with Isla Sorna and therefore they land on Site B, which is still inhabited by dinosaurs – wild and untamed for more than two decades. But as they realise their misunderstanding the fight for survival has already begun.
