Luke George Evans (born 15 April 1979) is a Welsh actor. Evans began his career on the stage, performing in many of London's West End productions such as Rent, Miss Saigon, and Piaf before making his film breakthrough in the Clash of the Titans 2010 remake. Following his debut, Evans was cast in such action and thriller films as Immortals (2011), The Raven (2012), and the re-imagined The Three Musketeers (2011). In 2013, Evans starred as the main antagonist Owen Shaw in the blockbuster Fast & Furious 6, and also played Bard the Bowman in Peter Jackson's three-part adaptation of J. R. R. Tolkien's The Hobbit. Evans also portrayed the vampire Dracula in the character's film origin story, Dracula Untold. In 2017, Evans starred as Gaston in Disney's live action adaptation of Beauty and the Beast, and portrayed American psychologist William Moulton Marston, creator of fictional character Wonder Woman, in the biographical drama Professor Marston and the Wonder Women. In America, the police having been eradicated, a new order sprang from this rotting mass: the Judges. They represent the order and are at the same time judges, jurors and executioners, applying the adage "violence against violence". To this end, they focus on all powers: legislative, judicial and executive. Riding overpowered motorcycles, the Judges crisscross the megalopolis and apply justice which will become increasingly strict and expeditious over time, a consequence of overcrowding. The Judges want to be ruthless, and do not hesitate, if need be, to eliminate any person in violation, under current security laws, as following an attempted murder on the person of a Street Judge . Many offenses against the law are not punishable by death, but if an individual is in violation, he can quickly pass the status of citizen to criminal stripped of his citizenship and sentenced to death with immediate execution in the street. Judge Dredd is one of the judges for Mega-City One. He is, from his entry into the service of the body of street judges until his death, the most emblematic; it is the best (or the worst) of them because it is adamant and uncompromising.
