Fan Casting Lord Emon in Josh Trank's Shadow of the Colossus

The 50-something spiritual leader of a primitive frontier village. He inherited his role through generations and prefers to be feared rather than loved. He interrogates Wander by forcing his hand into fire, presides over Mono's burial, and hunts the boy into the Forbidden Land. He drowns one of his own warriors for complaining of exhaustion. Yet he is not a villain—he understands that Wander has been manipulated by Dormin. In the end, he prays for Wander's soul and seals the Forbidden Land forever.
