Gaetano John "Gaten" Matarazzo III (/ˈɡeɪtənˌmætəˈræzoʊ/ GAY-tən MAT-ə-RAZ-oh, Italian:[ɡaeˈtaːno mataˈrattso]; born September 8, 2002) is an American actor. He began his career on the Broadway stage as Benjamin in Priscilla, Queen of the Desert (2011–12) and Gavroche in Les Misérables (2014–15). Matarazzo gained recognition for playing Dustin Henderson in the Netflix science-fiction-horror drama series Stranger Things (2016–2025). He also hosted the Netflix show Prank Encounters (2019–2021). In 2022, he co-starred in the coming-of-age comedy film Honor Society. In the animated fantasy comedy film My Father's Dragon, he voiced Boris the Dragon. A live-action saga of the six seasons of the manga and anime series JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, created by Hirohiko Araki. Like the anime, it is divided into six seasons, starting with Phantom Blood, set in the 1800s and starring Jonathan Joestar and a young Dio Brando. The second season, Battle Tendency, is set between the 1930s and 1940s, with Jonathan's grandson, Joseph Joestar, pitting him against the Pillar Men. The third season, Stardust Crusaders, sees Jotaro Kujo, Joseph Joestar's grandson, along with his grandfather and a group of other Stand Users, travel from Japan to Egypt to challenge Dio Brando, reborn after nearly 100 years. The fourth season, Diamond is Unbreakable, is set in 1999 in Morioh Town and features Josuke Higashikata, Joseph Joestar's illegitimate son. Together with Jotaro and a group of young men, he investigates a serial killer on the loose named Yoshikage Kira. The fifth season, called Golden Wind, is set in Italy, between Naples and Rome, in 2001. It features Giorno Giovanna, Dio Brando's illegitimate son, conceived through Jonathan Joestar's body. It follows his fight to seize power from the Italian mafia called Passione, alongside a group of allies against Diavolo, the final boss. The final season, called Stone Ocean, is set in Florida in 2011 and features Jolyne Kujo, Jotaro's daughter.
