Batman, confronts two adversaries: the mentally unstable and severely disfigured former District Attorney Harvey Dent, known as Two-Face, and the Riddler, a disgruntled former inventor from Wayne Enterprises who seeks vengeance against his past employer by deploying a mind-controlling device on the citizens of Gotham City. Concurrently, the caped crusader grapples with haunting memories of his parents' murder while embarking on a new romantic relationship with psychologist Chase Meridian.
