Suggested by sparrow27

After years of controlling her extraordinary abilities, Jean Grey finally reaches her full potential during an X-Men mission in space. A mysterious surge of cosmic energy awakens an immense power within her, transforming Jean into the host of the Phoenix. At first, she struggles to understand the force inside her, but the Hellfire Club, led by the ambitious Sebastian Shaw, sees the Phoenix as the key to achieving ultimate power. Shaw sends Mastermind to manipulate Jean’s mind and convince her that the X-Men are only holding her back. Wolverine, Cyclops, Colossus, Storm and Nightcrawler set out to bring Jean back before the Hellfire Club can fully control her. But Mastermind pushes Jean beyond her emotional and psychological limits, causing the Phoenix to consume her. Jean becomes the Dark Phoenix, turning against the very people trying to save her. The X-Men confront the Hellfire Club and Jean, but they are completely overwhelmed by her power. As Jean prepares to unleash the Phoenix’s full force, Cyclops refuses to fight her and instead reaches through the darkness, reminding her of who she truly is and the people who still believe in her. Jean finally breaks free from Mastermind’s influence and turns her power against the Hellfire Club. A massive wave of Phoenix energy incinerates its members, while Sebastian Shaw narrowly escapes. Jean survives, but the X-Men are left wondering what the Phoenix truly is and what it may eventually demand from her. Post-credit scene: In New York, Janet van Dyne visits Hank Pym at his laboratory. While showing her a new experiment, Hank accidentally activates a device that causes a nearby tool to suddenly grow to enormous proportions.
