Susan Jane Backlinie (September 1, 1946 - May 11, 2024) was an American former actress and stuntwoman. She is known for her role as Chrissie Watkins, the first shark victim in Steven Spielberg's blockbuster Jaws (1975).
After the terror of the great white shark is laid to rest, the waters of Amity Island churn red once more—this time with the arrival of an amphibious monster from the depths of the Amazon.
