Fan Casting Fatty in James McTeigue's Cowboy Bebop

A huge, heavy-set bounty hunter with a spiked neckband and a permanent scowl, Fatty appears twice: first in the opening chase, glaring at Spike from the crowd, and later in the bounty claims line, where he tells Faye to “get in line, legs.” He has no arc, no redemption, no hidden depths. He is exactly what he looks like: a large, grumpy man who has been waiting for hours and is not impressed by anyone. Sometimes that is enough.
