Fan Casting Edward in James McTeigue's Cowboy Bebop

A thirteen-year-old hacker savant with bright red hair, a manic grin, and absolutely no social filter, Edward lives in the Bebop’s crawlspaces and communicates in non-sequiturs. She is androgynous, rail-thin, and capable of breaking into any computer system in the solar system using only her toes. Ed treats the apocalypse like a playground, but beneath the chaos is a lonely child who has finally found a family—even if that family consists of a washed-up cop, a suicidal hitman, a compulsive liar, and a data-dog.
