Back in the U.S., he stops weapons production at Stark Industries and creates the advanced Mark III suit. Investigating his kidnappers, he discovers the Mandarin's campaign of global bombings, fueled by Stark weapons. The Mandarin, a cunning terrorist mastermind, targets Tony directly, orchestrating a devastating attack on his Malibu mansion. Stripped of resources, Tony rebuilds and uncovers the Mandarin’s plan to detonate a massive bomb in a U.S. city.
