Wong-Chu is main villain. Ahmed is his second-in-command, who is a realistic take on the supervillain Mauler.

Wong-Chu seeks revenge.
One subplot is Mordecai Midas: a rising star in Stark Industries who learns of Iron Man's identity and eventually tells Wong-Chu; he joins Ten Rings in end.
Midas also provides Stark technology to Wong-Chu to equip him with the comic villain Melter's powers.
