Tony Stark must confront the consequences of his Iron Man technology falling into the wrong hands, specifically Justin Hammer. Stane creates duplicates of the Iron Man armor, calling them the Guardsmen. Tony exposes the Guardsmen as criminals and reveals their true identities at a Stark International event. He then confronts the Iron Monger armor, a creation of Obadiah Stane's, and ultimately defeats it with the help of Rhodey.
