Norman Osborn was the CEO of Oscorp Industries who invented a serum that made him stronger and smarter, but also drove him to insanity and subsequently becoming the Green Goblin, Spider-Man's archenemy.
When the super-human crime lord Mister Negative orchestrates a plot to seize control of New York City's criminal underworld and release a deadly virus, Spider-Man must confront him and protect the city while dealing with the personal problems of his civilian persona, Peter Parker.
