Emily Joanna Carey (born 30 April 2003) is an English actor. They began their career as a child actor on stage and in the BBC One soap opera Casualty (2014–2017, 2021). They went on to play several young versions of characters, such as Diana Prince in Wonder Woman (2017), Lara Croft in Tomb Raider (2018), and Alicent Hightower in the HBO fantasy series House of the Dragon (2022).
Carey uses both she/her and they/them pronouns.
In Inkheart, the twelve-year-old, Meggie, discovers that her father Mo, a professional bookbinder, has the unusual ability to transfer characters from books into the real world when he reads aloud—they call those with this ability "Silvertongue".
