More Inhumans are born thanks to a substance called the Terrigen Mist that gives Inhumans their powers, but it is deadly to mutants. The Inhumans, who are in danger of being extinct, want to keep it to increase the Inhuman population, and the X-Men want to destroy it to save the mutants.
