King is a small lion, and he is Nadia's best friend before she meets Jean and the others. He eventually becomes Marie's playmate during the series, playing with her all day. He is very jealous, especially when Nadia and Jean become more intimate. In the epilogue, King is still living with a now married Nadia and Jean, and has several cubs of his own.
