Danny and the Dinosaur is a children's book by Syd Hoff,[1] first published by Harper & Brothers in 1958. It has sold over ten million copies and has been translated into a dozen languages.[2] The book inspired six other sequels by Syd Hoff. Danny and the Dinosaur is designated as an I Can Read! Book.[2]
The idea for Danny and the Dinosaur came when Hoff began drawing for one of his daughters, who, at the time, was going through a physical therapy.[2]
