White Braids is a Salish woman from Two Hawks's village. She is an elderly woman who had previously had a daughter who died. After finding a dying Speaking Rain, she nursed her back to health and the two became incredibly close, to the point where Speaking Rain secretly vowed to never leave her alone. She is Speaking Rain's adoptive mother for six months out of the year.
