Peng Zhang is a stunt performer, stunt coordinator, fight choreographer, second unit director, and action director. He began his industry journey working as a stunt double—most notably for Jackie Chan—and quickly rose through the ranks, appearing in major studio films including The Last Samurai (2003), X-Men: The Last Stand (2006), Rush Hour 3 (2007), Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief (2010), Kick-Ass (2010), Scott Pilgrim vs. the World (2010), Kingsman: The Secret Service (2014), Pixels (2015), and Wonder Woman (2017) often credited as fight coordinator or stunt choreographer. In the Marvel realm, Zhang served as an uncredited fight coordinator on Ant-Man and a fight coordinator on Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (2021), before advancing into second unit direction on The Marvels (2023) and American Born Chinese (2023) for Disney+. Peng Zhang's martial arts training and storytelling philosophy emphasise choreography that serves character and narrative, a theme he expanded upon in recent projects such as Karate Kid: Legends, where he blended classical kung fu and karate traditions into emotionally resonant fight scenes that pay homage to the franchise while forging a fresh style. Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings' stunt ensemble won the North Carolina Film Critics Association Award for Best Stunt Coordination in 2022, credited jointly with Andy Cheng and others, including Zhang. That year, the same team also won the Chicago Indie Critics Award for Best Stunts.

We catch up with Short Round in the 1970’s. He’s been an archeologist in Asia for decades and has long since lost touch with his old mentor and friend. His journey/quest has him cross paths with Helena and the two team up against a common enemy. The movie ends with Shorty traveling to the states and Helena reuniting him with Indy decades later. Ford reprises his role in a cameo/final scene giving us a touching reunion.
