In 1937, Indiana Jones heads to England at the behest of an old friend and former colleague of his, Richard Longford, who is both an expert and fanatic of the King Arthur legends and has spent his whole life studying the old tales. After recently researching and discovering evidence proving that Arthurian legends may have actually been real and also the possible path to finding King Arthur's legendary sword Excalibur, Longford had called for Indy to help find this epic piece of history. Though Indy is hesitant to partake in this adventure as a prior expedition of his had ended with a tragedy to shook him to his core and he believes he has lost his passion for archaeology, but then Indy and Longford find themselves ambushed and chased by a mysterious group calling themselves "The New Knights", a secret society of people who believe themselves to be the long-lost descendants of King Arthur's Knights of the Round Table, who seek to uncover the sword to use its mysterious powers to gain untold power over all of England and the rest of the world. Unfortunately, Longford is killed in the process and after realising what he is up against and what the stakes are, Indy now must pick up from where Longford left off and sets off on a perilous journey to find Excalibur first and prevent it from falling into the New Knights' hands.
