Norman Armour (1959–2023) was a Canadian actor, theatre director, producer, curator, and arts administrator based in Vancouver, British Columbia. He was much more than a screen actor: he was an important figure in Vancouver's performing-arts scene. He was especially known for co-founding Rumble Productions and, in 2005, the PuSh International Performing Arts Festival, which became a major Vancouver festival for contemporary and experimental performance. He served as PuSh's Artistic and Executive Director for 14 years. As the long-standing Artistic and Executive Director of PuSh until 2018, he brought innovative, boundary-pushing theater, dance, and music to Vancouver audiences from around the globe. Originally trained at Simon Fraser University's School for the Contemporary Arts, Armour accumulated dozens of screen credits in film and television. Notable appearances include feature films like Suspicious River (2000), Saving Silverman (2001) and Capote (2005), as well as TV roles in Kingdom Hospital, Supernatural, The X-Files and Atomic Train (1999). He also provided a voice in the video game 1000xResist, released in 2024, after his death. Armour received numerous honours for his contributions to the arts, including the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal, City of Vancouver Civic Merit Award, Vancouver Mayor's Arts Award, and recognition from Simon Fraser University. In 2025, the Governor General of Canada announced that he was posthumously awarded the Meritorious Service Cross for his contributions to Canadian performing arts. He passed away on November 19, 2023, at the age of 63 following a diagnosis of lung cancer.

This is the story of Mamoru Endo, the spirited goalkeeper of Raimon Junior High's nearly-disbanded soccer team consisting of only seven members. Although Mamoru inherits his deceased grandfather's goalkeeping skills and love for soccer, his teammates are somewhat less motivated. Things take a drastic turn when legendary ace striker Shuya Gouenji transfers to Raimon. Desperate to recruit more members before the school shuts down the soccer club and also hoping to participate in the celebrated national Football Frontier tournament, Mamoru tries to convince Shuya to join the school's soccer club. However, Shuya’s arrival has also caught the attention of Teikoku Academy, the champion of Football Frontier for 40 consecutive years, who then proceeded to arrange a "friendly match" with Raimon.
